On Tuesday, November 13th, Head Boy, Evan Larrick and Head Girl, Claire Pendleton, awarded the Wiley Elementary School students with some new equipment to use during recess. Earlier this school year, Dex Davis approached the JH/HS Student Council in regards to the need for new equipment for students to use during recess. Dex attended a STUCO meeting to discuss the need and led his presentation with, "Who in this room likes to win?" He went on to explain how the new equipment would benefit each student. After his presentation STUCO decided they wanted to help Dex and the other elementary students out, and provided them with the equipment that was requested. Mrs. Piner, the STUCO Director, said, "I was so impressed with his (Dex) courage to come and speak in front of the junior high and high school students."
We are very grateful that we have students who see a need and advocate for that, as well as, STUCO wanting to help out the younger Panther generation!!
